Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei pointed in a meeting with scholars, clerics and students of Qom's seminaries on Sunday to the hostility of arrogant powers, particularly the US and Israel, towards the spreading of religion and stated, “Measures such as the offensive cartoons of Prophet Mohammad and the burning of the Holy Qur'an show the deep evil nature of the enemies of Islam.”

“Seminaries cannot keep silent on such enmities and will take a vigilant stance on arrogant powers," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

His eminence added that the Iranian nation can overcome problems caused by sanctions through its patience and resistance.

“The world bullying powers have created chaos about sanctions on Iran, but this nation has overcome sanctions over the past 30 years with its patience and resistance,” the Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei said people’s adherence to Imam Khomeini’s directives about patience and resistance is the main cause of the failure of the enemies’ covert and overt plots.

Since the early days of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has been trying to free the Islamic ummah from the reign of the global arrogance, and as a result “the Muslim nations felt that a life-giving breeze has started blowing and a new path has begun,” the Leader stated.

He went on to say that the revolutionary and Islamic principles can not be disseminated through political tools and military force. “Islamic teachings are inherently attractive and the best way to promote them is through being affectionate and modest toward people.”
