Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to extend full support to the government against the threats to national security following the Mumbai incident
Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to extend full support to the government against the threats to national security following the Mumbai incident, provided government exploits this opportunity to take solid measures for establishing peace and consolidating national solidarity and unity. But if rulers failed to unite the nation by withdrawing army from Fata and reversing US policies then JI will call its own APC and take along like minded parties to unite the nation itself by holding rallies, demonstrations and meetings.
This was stated by JI ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad while briefing newsmen at Mansoorah on Monday following a meeting of the JI consultative body which considered the invitation to attend the Prime Minister's All Parties Conference (APC) on Tuesday (today).
Qazi Hussain Ahmad said this is a golden opportunity for the government to unite the nation for countering the external challenges from Western and Eastern borders of the country. He said if rulers take bold measures in national interests Pakistan will turn into an invincible country, but if they showed cowardice and apologetic attitude India will overpower the country.
Qazi termed the Mumbai incidents an international conspiracy to victimize Pakistan, like the 9-11 incidents which engineered to target Muslim movements. Qazi said the Mumbai drama was staged and Pakistan was held responsible without any investigation or proof, which was the exactly the same which happened in case of 9-11. He said the Mumbai drama was staged to capitalize on the internal disturbances faced by Pakistan.
Qazi warned the rulers not to underestimate America and India in the perspective of Mumbai incidents, and said US wants to intervene into Fata and Balochistan while India wanted to invade on Azad Kashmir. Terming Karachi riots a conspiracy against national solidarity linked with Mumbai incidents, he advised the rulers to immediately withdraw army from Fata and take appropriate measures to restore peace in Karachi by holding accountable those elements fanning trouble and lawlessness.
He said tribal people are still the forerunners for defending Pakistan, and if army was withdrawn and tribals were treated like brothers they will not only defend the western borders but also back Pakistan army on the eastern front. He said America made Pakistan army fight against these tribals under a conspiracy aimed at depriving Pakistan of their unpaid reserve force, and now she is trying to capitalize on the situation with the help of India.
Qazi said at last Pakistan army has reached to the conclusion that there is no issue in Fata that could not be solved through dialogue. He said it proved the point that war in Fata is not our war but actually the war of the Washington.
Qazi said solution to Karachi problem is not in the hands of those who promoted prejudices and fled to London in hard times. He said such people are those who are spreading the fire and during the last few days only the poor laborers, school going children and vendors were killed and wounded. He said strict action should be taken against the rioters and culprits otherwise enemy will capitalize on the situation to cause serious harm to the country.
The meeting was also participated by JI secretary general Syed Munawar Hasan, Liaqat Baloch, Chaudhry Rehmat Elahi, Chaudhry Aslam Saleemi, Prof Mohammad Ibrahim, Hafiz Idris, Dr Farid Paracha, Malik Ashraf, Mian Maqsood, Abdul Ghaffar Aziz, Dr Mohamamd Kamal and others.

Who Educates Who?
I can list my objections to modern education:
1) The term “education” is used incorrectly in terms of both its definition and its goals.

The assessment by veteran Israeli human-rights and political campaigner Uri Avnery of the recent Israel-Turkey diplomatic and political row - that "the relationship between Turkey and Israel will probably return to normal, if not to its former degree of warmth" - seems sensible and daring.
