Hezbollah on Wednesday slammed the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon's report on Resolution 1559, saying the report has meddled in the Lebanese internal affairs and politically interfered in the Special Tribunal or Lebanon (STL) affairs.

In a statement Issued by Hezbollah media relations, the party said: "Hezbollah considers UN Secretary General report issued regarding UN resolution 1559, that was written by the "employee" of the Zionist entity Terry Roed Larsen as meddling in Lebanese internal affairs as well as political interference in the affairs of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon."

"It seems that [Ban] did not realize that Hezbollah has been at the core of Lebanese politics, through its representation in the parliament and cabinet," the statement said.

In his report, Ban said that Lebanon has been hit by a "new climate of uncertainty" that could cause instability across the region, adding that Hezbollah's strength “creates an atmosphere of intimidation and poses a key challenge to the safety of Lebanese civilians and to the government.”

"Ban has forgotten that President [Michel Sleiman] stated [last month] at the UN that Lebanon has the right to use all means to liberate its territory," the statement added.

Hezbollah also asked Ban about his stance on many of the issues that have recently occurred in the region.

"For instance what is his stance on the "freedom flotilla" and the Zionist crime against international laws and civilian passengers of the ship that was raided in the international waters?"

The party also asked about Ban's stance on many crimes committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinians, stressing that the international organization is losing its credibility in the world.
